Pfizer Prime

2023—2025
ECOMMERCE PLATFORM
  • Pfizer sought a comprehensive redesign of their vaccine storefront to enhance the overall user experience. The project involved revamping the site with new features including reordering, reservations, and personalized shopping options. They hoped to do this while also updating the visual style to be more modern, intuitive, and user-friendly. The goal was to elevate the website’s functionality and design to ensure it could effectively compete within the market.

  • As Design Director, I led a team of four designers, including both junior and senior members, during the initial phase of the project. I facilitated workshops with the client to ensure the product vision was fully captured in the designs. In addition to overseeing the overall project timeline, concept, and vision, I provided hands-on leadership, guiding the team through both high-level strategic decisions and detailed UX and visual design work. Serving as the key liaison between the client and my team, I balanced project management with direct involvement in refining design features. After the initial phase, I assumed the role of sole designer, focusing on feature enhancements, continuous improvements, and providing ongoing development support.

Comcast Quil

2022—2023
MOBILE APP & CONNECTED DEVICES
  • Quil, a joint venture between Comcast and IBC, sought to create a wholistic digital and connected device experience in order to help elderly users age in place with confidence, while providing their family, friends or caregivers with peace of mind. The project aimed to leverage a suite of connected devices to create a smart home system that would enhance safety, communication, and overall well-being for users.

From initial product definition and design to development and testing our team collaborated closely with Quil to ensure the proposed product met both user needs and business objectives.

  • As the Design Lead guided the overall product vision and scope while leading a team of 4-6 designers through every phase, from ideation to product launch. I ensured that the design direction and service concept was aligned with both user needs and business goals while maintaining consistency.

I acted as the main liaison between my design team and the client, facilitating communication and collaboration throughout the project leading all design reviews, scope discussions, and workshop sessions to ensure that the product evolved in the right direction. My work ranged from high-level strategic thinking to diving into the small design details and features day-to-day.

Managing a large team required a balance of vision and hands-on leadership. I provided direction and mentorship, making sure each designer had direction and feedback while also empowering them to have ownership of individual features to grow in their careers. While doing this I also owned key features of the product myself. This hands-on involvement allowed me to maintain a high-level perspective of the project while staying deeply connected to the design process at every stage.

  • The challenge was to design a service that utilized connected devices in a seamless way to empower users to easily monitor their health, stay connected with loved ones, and allow caregivers to check in remotely.

Through a combination of intuitive design and cutting-edge technology, this project helped Quil deliver a unique, integrated service that supports aging in place while fostering independence and well-being for older adults.

Through workshops and ideation we identified key features in order to utilize the connected devices as well as defining additional features for a rich experience. From easy check ins, task management and sharing, all the way to health stats and medication monitoring.

  • Phase 1: We took a set of initial user stories and leveraged user research to define customer personas and comprehensive user journeys. We developed 9 core concepts which we then prioritized, prototyped and tested with actual caregivers and care recipients. We collected all these learnings into three unique customer journey maps. We always developed a cohort of 40 users that were used for used a panel for ongoing testing and refinement for the full duration of our partnership with Quil.

Phase 2: We took our vision from the previous phase of work and start to bring it to life. This entailed prioritizing and refining the user stories, creating the product flow and prototyping the wireframes for further user testing. In parallel, the technical architecture and dev ops were being developed as well as the visual look of the application.

Phase 3: Launched beta testing effort with our participants, created material to assist in product launch and initial adoption by users. Launched MVP publicly on the app store.

WEC Energy Group

2023—2024
ECOMMERCE PLATFORM
  • This multi-year project aimed to modernize the digital presence of several major energy companies, collectively serving over 4.4 million customers. The goal was to create a brand-new app and white-label it across various brands, offering a seamless experience while meeting the unique needs of each company. The project’s focus was on attracting new customers, increasing engagement, and promoting clean energy initiatives. Our work played a key role in bringing these companies into the digital age, enhancing their customer offerings, and positioning them as leaders in the clean energy space.

  • As Design Lead, I spearheaded the design process, managing a team of talented designers throughout the project’s duration. I facilitated design thinking sessions and workshops to align stakeholders, generate ideas, and refine concepts. My role spanned from early-stage research, design thinking and wireframes to high-fidelity designs and dev support / fixes, ensuring a cohesive user experience. I led the design efforts to create an intuitive, engaging app and design system that not only met business objectives for one brand, but could be white labeled and re-utilized across all brands under the WEC Energy Group with the goal to engage more deeply and create a seamless end-to-end experience.

  • We built a multi-channel cloud platform and 12 native iOS and Android apps for WEC’s six individual utilities. With a focus on designing with empathy, we continue to deliver new features that revolutionize the customer experience. App allows users to pay bills, track energy consumptions, monitor safety inspections and set up service appointments. View the overview here.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the importance of crafting experiences from end-to-end from research and ideation through to wire framing and high-fidelity design. My approach is strategically focused on balancing functionality with a compelling visual narrative.
